My little young ladies started school in August this year. Christal is now 14 (9th grade) and Dezarae is 5 (Kindergarten). Christal is on the A/B honor roll this marking period and Dezarae has come a long way since she first began school. So proud of my daughters.
This is an amazing account of a cousin’s love for another during a tragedy that was not foreseen. May we all wrap this family in nothing but love during their time of sorrow.

Miss her more than life. Wishing she was here to see her grandbabies growing up. I wish she was here to see my progress in school. Just hope she knows just how much she is loved.

Friday 12-14-12 started as any other day
Dressing for school, hurried breakfasts, hugs, little ones at play
Dedicated, loving teachers there in the morning
As dedicated, loving parents hand-off their living treasures
Little beating hearts and chubby hands
Giggles and greetings, crayons and colored clay
Chaos and unspeakable violence breached the walls
Of an institution felt safe and warm
By one confused, angry and hurt
An invisible young man now a house-hold name
To the horror of a nation
Yes, even to the shock of the world
And the deep searing grief of the families
Precious lives now cruelly cut short
The aftermath of confusion and pain
The lack of understanding
What are we to do?
Who does this? Who?
Why? WHY?
No answers, only pain
For the children, for their teachers made heroes in one final act
For the mother who died alone in her home

Today is day 3 of my weird schedule where I am up all night. It is getting out of control. My youngest has been also tossing and turning. I wish I can get some normal nights rest soon.
It is week 2 of classes, and all I can say is oh my goodness. I am so lost and feeling like this was not the right choice. I am sending this overwhelming feeling to the Lord above to release me from this worry.
It is now past midnight and I have a little one that is wide awake…..
